Retro Art Fashion / din ciclul Secret Garden

It's been an exhausting 4 days of drawings and revisions, but I finally came up with something I'm happy enough with to submit for an art test.  This came after a ton of help from conceptart.org folks and chris, to whom I'm very grateful to.

Artwork del maxi single El Rincón de los Vencidos que sirvió de promo al lanzamiento del segundo disco de la banda de rock Siddharta. El grupo colgó en exclusiva el material en su web incluyendo el arte en calidad de impresión, así como temas inéditos, como regalo a sus seguidores. El trabajo se inició tras varias reuniones creativas con el grupo y se realizaron sesiones de fotografía con una modelo para poder desarrollar la ilustración.

Square Enix difundió algunos artworks de Star Ocean: The Last Hope, el RPG para Xbox 360 que se mostrará en el Tokyo Game Show en un par de días, y saldrá a la venta el próximo año en Japón.

Nothing awesome, I think I've lost it.

But, here's a few works to share some old and new. Most of them, never before released.

This just went up on DA. Possibly my only decent work over a few months span. I need that "moolah" if that's what you call it, again. (；ﾟдﾟ)

The Mademoiselle tribute works. I'll post full images of these 3 ladies as time goes by. They have a story behind as I produced every one of them. Not Vanity fair.

The one on the far right is a new piece, I thought pairing her up with the other 2 seems kinda nice.

Plus some extra sketches I did for fashion drawing. It's reallly fun desigining but I can't seem to find the logic in my outfits. Inspired by Garden In My Room. I hope this makes it to my very first debut designs in the future. haha... *sigh*

Sometimes being in the realm of fashion is no different from art. Making an outfit you always wonder, are you desigining for the sake of money (which makes you design commercial, wearable outfits) or for the sake of art, self-satisfaction (which becomes more artsy, couture and not wearable). I guess there are the pros and cons in each area. You still gotta eat and save up for that croc skin birkin anyway.

So that's about it for now!

This happened when I was really bored at class with Kittie, 2 moutain mushrooms = idiocity by the power of 4.

I have on, Vintage YSL drape sweater, V-neck T-shirt by Burberry, Jeans Topshop, Shoes, Paul Smith, Gucci dogtag necklace and YSL Muse hahaha.

*Picking up a Copic marker now seems more foreign than a needle.*

O site japonês Game Watch liberou hoje mais algumas artworks do belo Monster Hunter 3 para Wii.

Confesso que eu mesmo só vim a jogar alguma coisa da série nesse fim de semana no PSP, e ele me pareceu uma espécie de Pokémon com temática diferenciada. Não deu pra ver, no entanto, se é bom ou não. Mas um jogo que sozinho faz com que as vendas do portátil da Sony fique algumas semanas à frente das do DS no Japão merece no mínimo um pouco de atenção.

As artworks estão muito boas, coloridas e vivas. Parece que o gráfico do jogo vai conseguir manter o esquema. Ao menos o de PSP é bem bonito, também. Mas tem uma coisa que não entendo. Só há dragões nesse jogo? Porque então ele não se chama Dragon Hunter?

It's kind of interesting when you look back...
During the first week I wrote about 5 entries. I also did a little bit of episode blogging but stopped that later because it was rather time consuming. The activity has dropped quite a bit since then but it's not like I've stopped writing.
And that's why...maybe there will be a similar post next year? One can always hope (:

I've done this while I was scanning my compie for viruses/malware/spyware, and I messed up.

Before the outcome. Plain is okay but you can't feel any feelings to it. (What feelings? lol)

After. I really messed up on this one, because his hat and clothes, I already coloured it in blue but since my shadings doesn't fit with the color, I modified it. Consuming my precious 2 and half hours.

These are photos of the exterior of The Frick Collection in New York City.  Their website has a great database of the works of art in their collection.  This museum is located in a mansion on Fifth Avenue built for Henry Clay Frick.  I visited the Frick in 2007, and I loved this collection because the works of art are displayed so that you are walking through the grand rooms of the elegant interior as you explore the galleries.  The Frick is full of European paintings by great masters, as well as sculptures and lovely decorative arts.

Brief history of Frick and the Collection

Done in practice for crowd scenes.  This was mostly to get over the fear of drawing such large, crowded scenes.  It's very unpolished right now, but think of it as a first draft.  6-7 hours over 3 days.
