At work I was talking to Scott and Brandon about Brandon's girl problems. Turns out his girlfriend wants to have sex all the time. Everyday threes times a day, that kind of thing. He said that frankly, he's tired of it and shes getting on his nerves because she is so clingy. SO. Then he said that she's not exactly trim down there. I thought it was the funniest thing. He said he was trying to think of a good nickname for her, so I suggested brillo pad. He seemed to like that one a lot. He's so silly though, he won't break up with her. I don't know if it's because it would be akward afterward since they work together, or if theres some underlying issue I don't know about. I told him that if his relationship is that one-sided that he should probably end it. He said he wishes it was that easy. So it beats the hell out of me.

Japanese midterm exam is tomorrow. I think I will do well. Actually, I know I will do well.

Speaking of vagina's... I had a conversation about flavor today. We were arguing about whether vaginal secretions taste different depending on what you eat like semen does. I wouldn't know since I don't do that sort of thing, but it made for a very interesting topic over lunch. lol.

För det första så började jag spela WoW igen. Jag bestämde mig för att inte damma av min gamla karaktär, så jag startade en ny, och den har för tillfället klättrat upp till nivå 35. Jag kände suget efter ett drygt halvårs avhållsamhet. För ungefär två veckor sedan installerades det igen och jag känner att jag verkligen har saknat spelet.

Det andra jag gjort nu är att börja med facebook. det kan jag tacka min kusin för, han startade en trevlig liten grupp. Det kändes som något jag kunde hålla på med så varför jag hoppade in i röran igen för att försöka lära mig i hur man ska använda facebook igen. Nu får vi bara se om jag lyckas hinna med första videoutmaningen.

The time is almost here, and Blizzard has sprung the first major content change of many at us. Whether you were ready for it or not, it is here. This patch included a slew of class changes which has torn up the communty. I for one like what they've done.

They've made many long past due changes to most of the classes. Blizzard also introduced the new achievement system, which keeps track of different milestones in the game. While this is not a new development in the gaming world, it is a fun little addition to WoW. The pet and mount changes were also needed. It saves tons of bag space not having to haul around mounts and vanity pets...yes...I'm a pet whore too!

For the bad news though, most of the Addons are broken. I never really realized how many custom addons I used until I tried to log into the game, only to find a very empty screen. I've always been a custom UI whore, even in EverQuest. I could never be satisfied with the norm. Who knows what nifty new addons that WotLK will bring.

What do you think of the newest patch and the soon to be released WotLK?

I finally got a chance to visit the (in)famous Doomed Ship and I was very impressed. Environmentally, it rivals the visual sophistication of many 3D shooters. All of this was done with the same tools that you and I have access to -- prims, scripts, and textures. The only missing ingredient is talent, which these folks have in spades.

Now, the Doomed Ship is intended for a kind of Sci-Fi sexual roleplay, though you'd be hard pressed to find a sex bed or room full of poseballs. Visitors can thoroughly enjoy their explorations without doing anything unseemly (for the most part).

Because this is a roleplay area it's expected that you'll do your best to blend in. There are inexpensive environment suits for sale at the entrance as well as freebie avatars if you don't have anything sufficiently dark and futuristic in your inventory. The clothes from the freebie avatars work fine if you don't want to change your entine look. As for myself, I donned my uniform from The Black Knight space station.

Read the rules and stay in character as best you can so as not to ruin someone elses fun with your blundering about.

The ship encourages exploration. The route you travel is usually pretty linear, though sometimes the way forward is not always obvious. The ship is bigger than you think, and each deck has a different look and lighting effect.

Be warned that if you are very curious about clicking things, you will encounter some of the sexual animations, which almost entirely involve being violated by an alien monster. Some of these come straight from Sensual Stoneworks, so you know what to expect, but it doesn't make them any less fun. The narration of these encounters assumes that you're a female. If you're a guy, that moves them from Slightly Disturbing to Pretty Damned Disturbing. "Ha! I don't have one of those orifices! Gotcha! Oh... Oh shi--!"

Lot of rooms seem to serve no other purpose than to look cool, though from a roleplay point of view you can find something to do with them. "Captain, if we keep this speed we'll blow up any minute now!"

If I had a "violated by spider" fantasy, it's been completely satisfied now. Really.

My preferences for the position of pet tank

Well a preferred tank pet would of course be one from the tenacity family. Beyond that you are simply considering the extra skills the little sod has, most people will be aiming for something that can 'area aggro' or aggro multiple mobs because you don't want the blasted adds charging toward you after you have popped mend pet (no doubt buffed with its 40% more effectiveness due to pet speccing if you be a smart cookie.)

Non-Exotic, in order of recommendation:

• Gorilla – Special ability is still 'Thunderstomp' hits everything around it, ability is on a 10sec cooldown.
• Crocolisk– Special ability is 'Bad Attitude' which will damage any target that hits the croc for 45sec's. However it is on a 2min cooldown.
• Bear – Bear's special ability is 'Swipe' – this will hit three guys every 5secs. So you can handle two extra mobs.

Exotic:

• Worm– Has an acid spit ability, stacks up to five times, lasts 30 sec's (not an area effect.)
• Rhino – Has the knockback ability with a 1min cooldown (also not an area effect… may be darn popular in PVP though.) Actually I predict rhinos will be darn popular all round, what with the size, the tick birds, and BRK showing his off around the internet for the last month or so.

I'll probably be going with the bear (farewell my warp lizard, we were good together.) Aye it's not super special, mainly I just like bears eh. I've been waiting to pick one up for a long time. It's BBB's whole 'I tank with my face thing' - I so gotta have a bear in the stable! The bear is real easy to feed, and there are a lot available at reasonable levels in various colours; with more coming in the expansion if you would rather wait then grind one up 5 levels to 70.

In any case meet 'Frank the Tank'

He needs five levels… and some first aid, but the guildies are going to love him anyway.

I would like a rhino myself if I ever get exotic in my spec when wrath comes out, simply because … like everyone else I am a rhino fan and I have fantasies about knocking alliance off towers in AV, cliffs in EotS, off the LM hill in AB – bwahahahahaha O_O.

My preferences for the position of pet DPS

DPS pets should be chosen from the ferocity pool (although I reckon there is some weird cross over with the bizarre cunning branch of the family.) Frankly they are all fairly viable now, the ones coming out on the top of the DPS tree are the exotics… because they get that tiny extra thing (more than skins), so popular pets for DPS are currently looking something like the following.

Exotics:

• Devilsaurs– a monstrous bite that hurts the enemy and increases the pets own damage by 3%... it can stack three times, it has only a 10sec cooldown.
• Core Hounds – has lava breath that does fire damage and reduces the targets speed by 50% (PVP popular, that’s been obvious in the battlegrounds)

Non-exotic:

The new pets seem popular for their novelty and it seems the wasp can dish out some good damage as well. Raptors & Cats have an extra damage ability and are still viable DPS.

• Wasps– Sting ability on a 6sec cooldown. The sting inflicts nature damage, decreases armor and prevents stealth or invisibility from being used.
• Moths– They have a dust ability that increases the pets attack power by 10% and heals it. Unfortunate 1min cooldown.

Me I am currently sticking with the lion I have in the stables, due to the shifting of particular pet families to the ferocity tree I will have to release the carrion bird and I won't be retrieving the old faithful wolf. I do perhaps have my eye on a wasp (and I will be testing a hyena in pvp… but he will probably get slammed by the spider I am comparing him to.)

Really the Cunning branch has quiet a few contenders that would be useful in instances as well.

PETS for PVP (possibly best taken from the cunning branch)

Oh wow it’s a whole world of mix and match – common sense says try the beasties in the Cunning tree … they can even eat corpses which would save on kibble after rezzing, so I am starting the testing process with a spider for the web ability and a ferocity hyena for comparison purposes – hamstring slowing ability.

Part 1: The Elves

An "article" if you will explaining the whole Night Elf/Blood Elf connection
and why it is the Night Elf model isn't physically accurate for Lady Sylvannas,
and why a Blood Elf Model would be.
(According to Warcraft Lore.)

The reason I'm writing this isn't because I'm crazy-nutty obsessed with WoW.
It's a story and I find it interesting.
It's also to prove that about 10 mins of web-surfing can solve confusion.
A lot of people don't know about the Elf races or Sylvanas,
but they'll still tell someone how wrong they are,
and in reality, they are the ones who are wrong.

Night Elves/Highborne/High Elves/Blood Elves

"The kaldorei are an ancient and reclusive race born during the waking of the world. Their ancient heritage has shaped them into a devoted warrior race, with a reverence for nature and animistic mystical forces. The kaldorei are practical but superstitious, and often a paradox. They are a people possessed with a deep spiritual passion and a desire to find solace."

Meaning: Kaldorei are Night Elves. It's what "Kaldorei" means in their imaginary language. Also, Night Elves are Hippies.

"The Highborne were the upper classes of the ancient Kaldorei civilization, at first a nameless caste made up of night elves who had unusual intelligence, strength, skills, or wealth and thus found favor with the ruling monarch. Their vast arrogance and greed, garish and multicolored clothing, and decadent habits did not endear them to other night elves. In fact, these powerful families became convinced that they were superior to the rest of their race, and so they began to call themselves the Highborne"

Meaning: The Highborne are nothing more than and evolution of Night Elves. Also, the Highborne are cocky little bastards.

(Get ready. This next one is long.)

"Finally giving themselves over to magic’s inevitable corruption, the Highborne fell to darkness and began to worship the Legionlord Sargeras as their god...To cement their dark pact, the ecstatic Highborne opened a great, swirling portal within the depths of the Well of Eternity which would allow the armies of the Legion access to the world, followed by Sargeras himself...The Legion was finally foiled by the efforts of the night elf Malfurion Stormrage, who in his battle with Queen Azshara collapsed the Well of Eternity, killing many Highborne and condemning those who survived to the sea floor...Yet many Highborne did not meet their fate at the bottom of the sea. Some had betrayed their Queen at the last minute...the Highborne foolishly [attempted] to convince the Kaldorei race of the power of magic by unleashing a magical storm upon Ashenvale. Meaning: The Highborne's addiction to magic backfired. They unleashed hell on the world. The survivors tried to convince the Night Elves tha magic is good and then get banished. The Highborne are still cocky bastards.

"These exiled Highborne took their punishment in stride...set sail across the ocean..established their kingdom of Quel'Thalas ("High Home") and crowned Dath'Remar their king. There, they slowly changed in form, diminishing in size and becoming darker of hue. They abandoned the worship of the Moon, adopting instead the Sun, and became the high elves."

Meaning: Highborne found a new home. (North-East of Lorderon.) Changed their named to High Elves. And, oh yeah, still cocky bastards.

"After their homeland of Quel'Thalas - and the source of their power - was destroyed by the undead Scourge, a radical group of high elves embraced their Highborne ancestry and resumed for the third time their reckless use of magic. Kael'thas Sunstrider renamed these people as the blood elves, and traveled to Outland with Illidan to find a way to fuel their magical addiction. Those who did not travel with him remained behind and began to rebuild their shattered capital city of Silvermoon."

Meaning: Blood Elves are former high elves, cut off from their source of magic. The only difference between a Blood Elf and a High Elf is their magic use and eye color.

Visual Comparison

Now, I know what you're thinking. "Night Elves and the Highborne don't look the same blah blah blah." It's stated that the Night Elves and The Highborne have "...near-identical physical appearance(s)." Also no change of physical apperance is mentioned until The Highborne are exiled and arrive at the future Quel'Thalas where "...they slowly changed in form, diminishing in size and becoming darker of hue." So, the physical change occurs once the Highborne are exiled.

Summary

• Night Elves spawned and Elite Society within themselves known as the "Highborne"
• The Highborne eventually became so different from Night Elves that they became a entirely new race.
• The Highborne were eventually exiled from the Night Elven Society
• When the Highborn claim their new homeland in Lorderon they change their name to the "High Elves"
• At this same time is when the change in physical appearance takes place.
• Blood Elves do not appear until after the scourge have sacked Silvermoon and destroyed the Sunwell (High Elves source of power.)
• Blood Elves are high elves who had to find a new source of magic to feed their addiction to magic.
• The new magic is what causes the slight change in physical appearance, including eye-color.

Part 2: The Dark Lady

Here's what I see the most:
"Why is Sylvanas a Night Elf in WoW?"
and
"Sylvanas isn't a blood elf, why would
'blizz' give her a Blood Elf model!?"

Ironically, I would speculate that it is those of us
who play the game because it's fun, who
are probably finding the answer most obvious.

Sylvanas

Most WoW players to day know Sylvanas as "The Dark Lady" or "The Banshee Queen." Sylvanas Windrunner is currently the ruler of the "Forasken" a group of people cursed by the undead plaque, but no longer in servitude of Prince Arthas. (Read up about all that yourself you lazy bums.)

Lady Sylvanas, prior to all that, was know as Sylvanas Windrunner, Ranger-General of Silvermoon City. Now, Night Elves are not from Silvermoon, so she's not a Night Elf. The Highborne are not from Silvermoon, so she's not a Highborne. She was a High Elf. Meaning she looked like a Blood Elf, but with blue eyes and pale skin.

Sylvanas, while attempting to defend Silvermoon City was killed by Prince Arthas. Arthas then turned her into a Banshee under his control. In this form, she helped him sack her own homeland and destroy the Sunwell.

Eventually she broke free. Through sheer strength of will, and the fact that Arthas was weakening, she broke herself free from Arthas' control, reclaimed her OWN body and swore vengence against him. She then took over the human capitol of Lorderon. The rest is explained in WoW.

Sylvanas as she appeared when WoW was released, and as she still appears today. That bounce? That's why it's just so wrong.

No doubt you've noticed she has a blood elf character model. Because when she was alive she was a HIgh Elf. And the only physical difference between a High Elf and a Blood Elf is eye color and skin tone. Therefore, there is absolutely nothing incorrect about using a blood elf character model to represent a undead high elf, with glowing red eyes and blue/grey skin. Also, the High Elf NPCs currently in game are simply a blood elf model with blue eyes and pale skin.

Last but not least. The story, as told by Blizz, of Sylvanas Windrunner.

And the reason Lady Sylvanas has had a Night Elf model for so long despite the fact that there are now Blood Elf models...
Blizz was either being lazy, or they were too busy, or they were sure if they wanted to change the model for fear of public reaction to it.

To those who could take the time to argue the point frivoulessly on the WoW forums, but couldn't take the 10 minutes to look this stuff up, I say to you: Uh-DUH!

En preparación para el lanzamiento de World of Warcraft: The Wrath of the Lich King, Blizzard puso a disposición de los jugadores el parche 3.0.2 para que lo descarguen a partir de hoy en Europa (y desde ayer en Norteamérica).

El unico problema que veo, por ahora es que el consumo de recursos esta bastante alto... pero igual si estas muy preocupado por eso tambien te tendrias que preocupar por lo que consume firefox, opera, incluso el google chrome...

Jag ska nog dessutom inte ta ledigt precis dagarna när själva expansionen släpps. Det kommer ju vara så smetigt och laggigt att det inte går att spela. Man glömmer snabbt. Men nu kommer jag ihåg. Och det är inte kul att spela med server-omstarter en gång i timmen osv.

Imorgon när spelet funkar ska jag köra igenom alla nya fiske-uppdragen under nya achievments-grejen. :)

Overall I was pretty pleased with the patch even though I kept going offline.

I visited the get a haircut place, and starting leveling up my inscription.  I had already printed off a list to get to 375, however, it seems really I needed to double the amount of herbs that I had so I ended up logging off with a skill of 200.  I was kind of stumped with what spec to choose though.  I am really not happen having to pore more points into discipline, but oh well what can you do as a priest.  So I have picked up Divine Spirit and poured the rest into holy to try it out.

I do like having all the bank space though.  You can now memorize all your mounts and pets and you can access them from your character screen or make a hotkey.

Another bad thing is the whole...add on situation.  I use quite a few addons which of course you can not use know.  I just ran into cursegaming though and they have a very neat program that will update your addons for you.

In what is perhaps the most shining example of obsession and geekiness I have ever seen, a fella by the name of Bradster has 36 World of WarCraft accounts that he plays on 11 computers simultaneously. He mainly seems to be doing it because he doesn’t like to rely on so many other people to get a raid going, which includes attacking the Alliance capital cities, and on that front I can totally see where he’s coming from.

I hate those Alliance douchebags too, but I’m not about to drop $5711 per year like Bradster is. The best way to get to them is to just live well, right? Well, Bradster doesn’t appear to be letting the Alliance off the hook so easily, as he plans on picking up 36 copies of Wrath of the Lich King on day one, spending around $1500, just so he can have a raid group of level 80 Shamans terrorizing Stormwind as soon as possible.

Read on to see how this crazy man manages to control all of these characters.

A lot have asked me, why create so many? The main reason is to invade Stormwind and Ironforge when they reach top level. I’m sure the Alliance will put up a big fight when that happens. We’ll see how it goes. If they don’t make level 70 before Wrath of the Lich King, then it will be at level 80. That is my main goal. That will probably happen after I’ve got some PvP gear from the battlegrounds. I’m also planning to do some 25 and 10 man raid instances but that is secondary to my PvP goal. Of course I’ll be doing arenas too to build up PvP gear but I’m not expecting to do that great there because I’m way behind in gear right now. I need to get to level 70 first, then level 80 and by then I will probably have all green gear while most others have been doing the battlegrounds and arenas.

It costs me exactly $5711 in subscription costs per year with 36 accounts on the 6 month pay schedule. Not bad considering I’m looking at it like it’s a hobby and there are more expensive hobbies out there than World of Warcraft.

32 of my shaman are level 61. One shaman that I had before I started the 32 is at level 70 along with 8 other level 70 classes that I had. My mage, priest and druid are in the center of the circle of shaman in the pictures but they are kind of hard to see. I’ve also got some mages and priests that I’m currently working on that are level 23. Once they are at level 31.9, I will stop working on them, get 16 of them to level 60 with the recruit-a-friend bonus levels and work on the shaman again.

When Wrath of the Lich King is released, I plan to be at the store when it opens and will purchase 36 copies of it. With tax, it should be about $1500 for all of them. Then the shaman are on their way to level 80 along with the priest, druid and mage.

By the way, I have 9 level 80 shaman created on the Murmur PvP realm in the Wrath of the Lich King beta. I mainly tried it out to see how well my computers would work as they are. With the exception of one my desktop computers, I should be fine with the hardware that I have.

I use 3 addons in the game. CT_MapMod is used to give me locations for quests, etc. ClassIcons is another addon that I use to show the class of the target. It helps for PvP encounters. Then the last addon I use is SSPVP2 which is excellent for displaying timers and other things while in the battlegrounds.

For my keys to send to all instances of WoW on my 11 computers, I use Octopus 1.3.2. Maximizer in Octopus allows me to start up all WoW instances at the same time or any individual instance such as if a WoW instance has crashed. It also allows me to shutdown all of the computers at the same time.

Not shown to the right is another laptop which runs 3 copies that I just moved there. The keyboard on the right was moved to the top shelf there as I don’t really use that keyboard while playing. I have macros that set my main assist/cast/follow. Any of the eight screens to the front can be set to main assist/cast/follow as my mouse scrolls to them all using Octopus.
